Creative Services Department

The CSD or Creative Services Department is a department within Acorn Paper Products that specializes in sales and production of custom packaging materials. The department manages each project and serves as a liaison between customers and resources such as the structural and graphic designer, and manufacturer, and is intimately involved in planning and production of higher end packaging materials and POPs (Point of Purchase displays) for the retail and mass merchandising environment.

The Creative Services Department provides personalized customer service because the process to produce a complex custom package or POP display involves a great deal of coordination and attention to detail.

The History of the C.S.D.

In 2000 Acorn Paper Products Company's CEO, David Weissberg, who was passionate about custom packaging, realized that although Acorn was running many custom packaging and POP display jobs, it needed to enhance its custom packaging presence in the marketplace to better manage the production of highly complex packaging and displays - the result was the creation of the CSD. It is an independent department focused solely on promoting Acorn’s color and high-end packaging and POP business.

Management in the C.S.D. has the experience to make sure we will offer cutting edge designs and a visually appealing final product. It has the expertise in designing packaging that will attract the attention of the consumer to drive sales — the right packaging design can get your product noticed and help increase revenue. The CSD has the experience working with retailers on behalf of its clients so it can ensure your package or display will conform to retailer requirements.

A Variety of Solutions

The CSD is on the cutting edge when it comes to technology, as well as design and material options. We can work with various materials, depending on what works best for each situation:

• Paper-based materials such as corrugated and folding cartons.

• Plastic such as PVC and PETE.

• Acrylic products that are thermoformed or die cut.

• Metal such as aluminum and wire.

• Wood packaging or display products.

The CSD provides full POP display services including fulfillment and distribution. The CSD also offers advertising and promotional products as well as a wide array of trade show displays made of temporary, semi-permanent and permanent material components.
